1. Tourist Accommodation Registration
Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 (as amended) requires us to collect the name and nationality of all guests.
Non British or Commonwealth UK residents are also required to provide their passport number and place of issue (or other identity document) as well as details of their next destination.
We are legally bound to keep this information for 12 months and make it available to the Police if required.
The data in this record will be destroyed once the one year time period has lapsed.

2. Data Protection and GDPR
Berryhill Cottages is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and complies with the six principles set out in the legislation.
Berryhill Cottages will ask customers and prospective customers for their consent to be sent marketing information relating only to Berryhill Cottages on occasions in the future. Guests and prospective guests will be able to withdraw this consent at any point after it has been granted.
The Information Commissioner’s Office and customers will be notified immediately in the event of any data breach.

3. Data Security and Credit Cards
We do not currently take credit card details.

4. Surveillance Equipment
Surveillance systems are not currently used at Berryhill Cottages.
